We’ve been moving very slowly and enjoying every second of it. Our goals have been to play games, eat good things, watch movies and just be.
We did make it out the other day for lunch at Flora and Muse. Giulia and I both fell in love with the flower cart. We both secretly want one but not sure how we would use it. We’re still figuring that part out.
We also indulged in the best hot chocolate. Adrian had his with a side of scone. It was unexpected bliss!
For Christmas Giulia and I made my Lasagna. It was the first time she was able to work with the dough and understand the process. We rolled every sheet twice down to a dial of 7. She’s a natural and it turned out fantastic.
Christmas Breakfast was tasty and we have a new tradition in the mix! John took slices of chocolate panettone and drenched them in an eggnog wash that was seared up to perfection. There was no need for powered sugar or syrup. The chocolate and sweetness of the panettone was the perfect mix.
For New Year’s Eve we will be at home. I’m looking forward to sharing good food and wine with friends with no rush, no time table except a toast at midnight.
