Craving something sweet? If you’re done indulging yourself and are looking for a healthy alternative, I have just the thing for you. I made this smoothie up because I wanted to treat myself and guess what it worked. Luckily I had some dark chocolate laying around because it made my smoothie awesome.
I included amazing-for-you ingredients:
Spinach for sure because I try to get dark leafy greens into my body as often as possible to help me feel vibrant & youthful. Cinnamon reminds me of the holiday season and is one of my favorite spices. Dark chocolate in moderation has great health benefits too. Yay for antioxidants and endorphins!
Creamy Banana Spinach Smoothie
Serves 2
1 large peeled and frozen banana
1 big handful of spinach
1 square of dark chocolate (I cut a piece off of a Perugina Bittersweet Dark Chocolate bar)
1 pinch of cinnamon
1 cup of water
5 ice cubes
Directions:
Combine ingredients into a high-powered blender and blend until smoothielicious.
