Creative Packaging for Baked Goods

Charm + Curation, Food + Entertaining

I love baking for the holidays and enjoy wrapping and boxing them in a beautiful and thoughtful way.

I like simple combinations. I love beige and white and I’m quickly drawn to it in every way.

To make gift giving easy I like to have a bundle of plain beige / paper bags on hand that I can decorate with ribbon and cutouts that I made (see doves below).

I don’t think you can ever have enough twine and basic tulle ribbon which is super easy to work with.

Parchments and White Doves

I fell in love with the beige and white Martha Stewart cookie boxes. To match the cookie boxes with the bags I created I used the dove as the seal to top off the box.

I like to bake Italian cookies during the Christmas holidays like Biscotti di Regina and the Italian Wedding Cookie to assemble in boxes.

I also deconstructed the cookie box above and just used the divider to hold the cookies together for another fun look.

Since I had some leftover doves I had fun stringing them on twine around my tiny trees that I also used as centerpieces for my sons holiday party at his school.

For a bake sale I pulled together a fun look for my Sfinciuni bread that worked well.

For the cookie boxes here I decided to go with basic white boxes and trimmings in brown and blue.

  1. Really pretty! I love that color blue. Bet you could never have guess that, huh?

Quick questions, how did you do the labels? Were they pages of labels you ran through a printer?

And is that just cellophane around the bread? I don’t really bake, do you buy that at any store?

  2. I purchased the labels, boxes, and the bread bags all from Michaels an Art and Hobby store. It was super last minute but I think they turned out great. The only thing I would change is to get smaller boxes for the cookies.

Also just to note: The labels are in the Wedding section of the store.
