Holiday season is here! And I love it. I crave the colors, and holiday scents that remind me of this time. Cranberries, apples, cinnamon, and chocolate come to mind. Visually the lovely burnt sienna, olive green, caramel, and burgundy colors are what I think of.
Here are a few beverages that will have you reveling in the spirit of the holidays. These recipes take a little more work than a quick mix in a shaker, but it is so worth it. Invite a special someone over, and make it a date.
When the chocolate, and cranberries start to simmer you’ll swear you’re drinking the holiday season.
Hot Chocolate Kisses
1.5 oz peppermint schnapps
.5 oz espresso-infused vodka
4 squares baker’s chocolate
2 cups milk
3 drops of vanilla
cinnamon ground cloves
whipped cream (optional)
Melt chocolate, milk and vanilla in a pan. Whisk until foamy and pour into a mug. Add the peppermint schnapps and vodka. Top with cinnamon and cloves to taste.
Hot Apple Pie Martini
1.5 oz vanilla liquor
1 part vodka
2 parts apple cider
1 tsp cinnamon squeeze of lime
Warm the apple cider, then shake vanilla liquor, vodka, and cinnamon ingredients with ice. Next, strain into mug, and finally top with the warm apple cider.
Cranberry Fall Delight
1 part vodka
2 parts cranberry juice
Heated cranberry mixture: (Blend 1 cup of fresh cranberries, and 1 cup of sugar. Heat to make a delicious puree.)
Shake the vodka and cranberry juice with ice, and strain, then add some of the heated cranberry mixture. Delish!
Happy Holidays everyone! If you have a favorite Fall inspired cocktail that you like to mix up during this time of year, tell us in the comments below. Thanks!

Yes these sound yummy! I especially like the sound of hot chocolate kisses. I usually drink hot toddys, or a little sip of scotch warms me right up. lol
