I’ve been on the lookout for a new apron for a while, but for some reason I’ve been very picky about what exactly I want.

I’ve browsed many styles and colorful fabrics, but I really wanted something that was simple and sturdy and could really be used in my kitchen.

While I was perusing Etsy for supplies, I came across a beautiful grey and white stripped demi apron and fell in love.

I ordered it immediately, and decided that a second apron would be a fun giveaway item on The Tasteful Life. I love the classic style and timeless elegance, and I hope you will too.

About the apron:

This gracie apron was featured in the 2011 July/August edition of Lonny magazine as one of Gwyneth Paltrow’s favorites.

It is a simplified version of the classic Parisian bistro apron. The material is a sturdy linen which gives it a low-maintenance, absorbent + quick-drying edge. The divided pockets are roomy enough so you can actually use them.

The designer of this lovely piece is Choisette. Her designs reflect the clean lines of the Scandinavian aesthetic, combined with a French sensibility and laid-back Southern California attitude.
