After spending a week in Lucca we road tripped our way to Rome with 1 stop in Montepulciano, a medieval hilltop village with winding narrow roads and some of the best Italian red wines you can get your hands on.
We bought a few bottles and continued on to Rome where we met up with Jessica who guided us through all the major sights of the city and in a way that Adrian (9) and Giulia (6) would appreciate it.
No matter how many times you visit Rome you can never see enough. For me it is such an enchanting city that I will continue to discover. Roman cuisine and culture is still very much alive and ever-changing. From Rome we make our way back to France spending the last part of our trip in Paris.
I am so sad to leave Italy, I truly love it here.
p.s. The FIAT 500 is everywhere (red car in pic)! I know they are just now selling them in the United States. I’ve seen them in an array of colors and designs that are so fun.
