Lia Molly Knit Wear

Charm + Curation

I am in love with this beautiful knit wear collection out of New Orleans called  Lia Molly designed by Seema Sudan, formerly a sweater designer for Anthropologie.

I love how they describe the concept behind these beautiful pieces.  “Lia Molly is a sweater collection deeply rooted in the culture of knitting and inspired by traveling the globe, discovering magical places, studying fashions past and cultures around the world.”
They collaborate with local artists and craftsmen with the goal of making fashion accessible and comfortable with buttery yarns and heirloom accents.

There is also a principle behind what they are doing that ties to communities when disaster hits. With lessons learned in New Orleans it has shaped this company to be as authentic and affordable as possible so that collections could be sold in  neighborhood boutiques for people to grow their local economies.

I love how this collection is  timeless with an edge. I like how the design feels feminine but still striking when paired correctly. The collection feels fun and whimsy but still enchanting.
