Description
With so many variations on a simple green drink, it’s easy to do. For example in this mix I use parsley, romaine, arugula, but you can easily swap out with spinach, kale, or any other green you desire. Just blend your favorite ingredients and voila! Cheers to your health.
Servings
1
Ingredients
1 organic cucumber
1 handful frozen organic strawberries
1 organic celery stalk
1 handful organic dark leafy greens (parsley, romaine, arugula)
1 tablespoon organic extra virgin coconut oil
1 packet stevia (or 1 tblsp agave nectar)
1 cup water
Preparation
1. I chop up my celery and cucumber into chunks.
2. Add all the ingredients to your blender and blend.
3. Drink immediately.
Notes
Here's a cool tip. Fill an ice cube tray with coconut oil and freeze. This way you can just pop one or two out and add it to your mix.
I pick up my stevia at either Whole Foods, or Vitamin Shoppe.

Oh Marla, I REALLY want to learn to make beautiful green smoothies. I watched a friend of mine make something like this once, and she made it look so easy. But when I tried it, the drink ended up totally brown, and my children started to wretch just looking at it. The only one who actually tasted it was my two-year-old, but then it ended up all over him, and seriously it looked like he’d been sick. But now that I have an actual recipe, I’ll give it a try! Thanks.

The trick its to start out easyyyy. Less green and more fruit. My last smoothie was made up of strawberries, banana, red cabbage, cucumber, celery, and water. Just remember when starting out more fruit makes it easy for kids to like. Once you get use to that, take it up a notch.
Let me know if you have any other questions, I can talk about this all day. <3 vitamix.
