How to Enliven Your Passions

Charm + Curation

It is easy to get off track from your passions and live life according to your email inbox. One way to stay the course and make sure YOU stay a priority is to:

Do what is important to you first thing in the morning.
Carve out a hour and focus on what you want. Try and free up an hour in life. Just wake up a little earlier than you’re use to, or swap out a 30 min TV show and lay off Facebook for a bit. Done. Now doesn’t that feel good? To do what you like. It helps to put life in perspective when reminded that where you are today is the product of your past focus. So make up your mind about what you want next and take an hour back for you.

Just in case your bored already and are not looking forward to figuring out what you want to do with your 1 hour. I found that these creatively awesome notebooks should do the trick in helping you start thinking about yourself. As if Moleskine couldn’t get any cooler they have come out with a life passions collection.

Life. Passions. Collection. (So cool)

These can help by first getting you to choose which journal speaks to you more? There are 6 to choose from. What’s your passion? Is it food, wine, reading, movies, music, or wellness? Next up for me, purchase the Wellness and the Book journal after I’m done here.

Ok, so you don’t really need fancy journals to focus, but they are so juicy that at the very least they will inspire you to jot down your thoughts and start taking action. If your a scrapbooker, list maker, or doodler these may be your newfound crush too.

Either way, this collection is perfect to cultivate the loves of your life as they say.

COOL PROJECT ALERT: I am so inspired by their concept and product that I want to know what your passions are and would like to showcase them here on The Tasteful Life. If you have a photo of something you are passionate about please send it to marla (at) thetastefullife (dot) com with a brief description. I think it will be fun to get to know everyone through our passions

  1. Love the journals and the idea of sharing our life passions. I have so many passions so I am going to narrow it down!

  2. Marlita! Cool journals. Dibs on a recipe and film journal. Currently I just have lists in google docs or evernote. Time for a passion upgrade. Thanks for the simple reminders on putting myself first. :)

  3. Being an Editor on Tasteful helps me focus on my passion… and that just makes me ridiculously happy. I love to cook, I read cookbooks like novels. I am passionate about beauty and weaving it into my life. I am passionate about family and friends… see… I told ya The Tasteful was a perfect fit.

My other passion is create healing, empowering spaces for women and girls. That’s why I stay involved with The Woman Within community, staffing Woman Within Weekends and serving on the board. I am also so, so, so excited about being involved in the upcoming first ever Empowered Girl Weekend in Texas.

Those are just 2 of the things I am passionate about… there are many others. I agree that focusing on a few at a time helps keep me grounded and the creative energy flowing.

What a wonderful idea to get to know each other at a little deeper level – through our passions.

  4. @carrie cool, well send one over to me when you do finally narrow it down!

@gourmetgoodness thanks! I like evernote too, to keep my thoughts in check. The film journal would be fun, but I don’t watch too many movies.

@jjlassberg lots of great passions! Love the empowering weekends, I hope to make it to one of the dinners.

Everyone, don’t forget to send me a photo!
