When I was about 24 I went on a trip with my best friend Sharon and her mom to visit their family in Israel.

We had so much fun traveling to different cities, Jerusalem, Haifa, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Sea of Galilee, and The Dead Sea (great spa there). We also hopped over to Turkey, Greece, and Cyprus. I really need to post about my adventures there because it is one of my favorite and treasured travel experiences.

In Haifa there is a funicular that you can take up to see the skyline and have a snack. We ordered the Watermelon served with Bulgarian Feta Cheese.

The combination of flavor is amazing and it is so easy and tasty for summer. I think this is a perfect menu item for The Fourth of July.

Ingredients

1 Seedless Watermelon
2 to 3 Wedges of Feta Cheese

Preparation

Cut up the watermelon in rounds or wedges
Crumble the feta on top of the watermelon and serve
