Latest finds and obsessions from Marla, Carrie, JJ and Carlie!

I have been looking for the perfect white watch for the last 2.5 years. Ever since the one I loved died. I paid $10 on a cruise ship for it. The cruise ship had a Bijoux Terner – Luxury at $10 store. It’s a Miami-based international accessories retail store you can find in airports, on cruise ships, etc. The watch was awesome and I got compliments on it all the time.
This started my obsession with white watches. I found a Michael Kors watch that retails for $225. But on Amazon you can get it for $163. Not $10, but instant gratification sometimes trumps $10 and 300 miles away.

I have never been a body powder type of gal but I recently discovered Lady Primrose Tryst Deluxe Body Brush w/ Dusting Silk. I am in love with it! The powder is lovely to use and has a light shimmer that adds a sparkle to your skin. It has a beautiful scent of Green Florals, white jasmine, and fleur ‘d orangery. I use it it every morning. For $30 it is an affordable luxury that I love. It also makes a great gift for all the lovely ladies in your life.

I found these ridiculously cute serving platters a few weeks ago on uncommon goods. They seem fun for summer entertaining. In honor of Houston’s new baby elephant Baylor, I recommend the elephant plate.
More information on the plates from uncommon goods website: These darling plates, featuring illustrations by children, are more than meets the eye: with the sale of each plate, 10 percent of the proceeds goes to support local chapters of non-profits. Handcrafted in Pennsylvania, each plate is hand cut from pre-consumer/ post-industrial recycled glass, then color is hand screened onto the glass.

Brothers-All-Natural Fruit Crisps – A 2 yr old named Simon introduced me to these. He loves the Asian Pear Fruit Crisps so much that he wanted everyone in the room to try one out. I was reluctant to eat it, after all it was a small piece of freeze dried something that a toddler with sticky hands just handed me, but I have to say — he was right!
They are oddly delicious. Brothers-All-Natural Fruit Crisps are gently freeze-dried pieces of fruit. As their web site states, “Fruit Crisps are not baked – this causes the fruit to lose too much flavor! They are not dehydrated – this adds preservatives! They are not sweetened dried – this adds sugar! Fruit Crisps are 100% real fruit and 100% natural”. They come in individual serving packets and are available in a wide variety of fruit choices. My favorite part? Just 39 calories for a bag of these. They satisfy my sweet tooth every time.
You can find Fruit Crisps often at your local Costco, Amazon.com or directly through Brothers-All-Natural. Give them a try — you’ll love them. I’ll thank Simon for you.
