Well, the Sun is out in full swing, warming our days, our pools, and our gardens. Whether a big garden… or a little pot garden… basil is a perfect and easy thing to stick in some soil and let soak up some sun. Mine happens to be dominating its pot and Fab!Hubby mentioned I better start using it. No problem! There are few things I like more about being in the kitchen than walking out of the kitchen… into the backyard to pluck something yummy and add to a dish.
When I discovered through some online recipe browsing last week that I could make fire grilled pizza at home… then they had beautiful Roma tomatoes at the Farmer’s Market… and then the basil exploded… I knew, this was no coincidence. The Universe had aligned to present me the opportunity to make my very own favorite pizza… Marghertia that is.
Don’t have basil soaking up the sun in your backyard… no need to fret… it is waiting for you in the produce section of most grocery stores, crying out to be taking home and added to some fabulous early summer inspired delight.
So head on over to the recipe section… grab some basil… warm up the grill… and get ready for melted cheese, fresh tomato, crusty bread paradise.
