Melissa Campbell can’t decide if she’s an advertising copywriter or a public relations pro, but finds that on most days, she is both. Born and raised in New Orleans, she is a first-generation American and youngest of four kids born to incredibly wise, generous and fun-loving parents from the Philippines. Having grown up in a household rich with cultural traditions and celebrations, she enjoys sharing her experience with others while creating traditions of her own, and loves learning about other cultures through travel, books and culinary adventures. Melissa lives in Houston with her husband, Walt, and is happiest when surrounded by family, friends, food and her spoiled rescue dogs, Millie and B.
Carlie Fairchild
Carlie Fairchild is the Publisher of Linux Journal, a technical magazine about the Linux operating system. When not immersed in the geek world, Carlie enjoys traveling, food, wine and really bad reality TV — preferably all together.
Katie Laird
Katie Laird is a marketing geek with a book problem, an obscene lover of cupcakes and possesses an overwhelming desire to hug everyone she meets. By day, she rocks the Communications team at Schipul with some of the coolest clients in the world. JJ Lassberg
JJ Lassberg is a passionate soul, through and through. A passionate member of the Woman Within community and a devoted mama and wife, JJ spends many of her waking hours fanning the flames of inspiration for the amazing people in her life. She will probably hug you when she meets you and, if you’re lucky, might drag you back to her kitchen for one of the tastiest meals of your life.
Carrie Pacini
Carrie Pacini is a successful entrepreneur, mom, blogger and creative technologist. Her inspiration comes from abroad as she is an avid reader in European trends, Classic and Old World. She started The Tasteful Life to share her passion for culture, food, wine, travel and entertaining with other likeminded women. Carrie is the co-founder of The Tasteful Life, the Mom 2.0 Summit, and The Wine Conference. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Italian Cultural and Community Center, and is the Chair of the ICCC’s 2010 national gala event. Carrie lives in Houston with her husband and children Adrian (8) and Giulia (5).
Marla Treviño
Marla Treviño is an award-winning art director and creative entrepreneur. Most of her days are spent consulting with companies on design, web and internet marketing. As a co-founder/partner of The Tasteful Life and the Mom 2.0 Summit she is passionate about empowering others and embracing different cultures. Inspired by bright colors, good food and travels, Marla enjoys bringing all that she loves together.
Carrie & Marla have been business partners for 10 years, and their work has been “Top 10” listed in both online and traditional publications such as Mashable.com, Parent & Child Magazine, Yahoo Picks, as well as at the 2007 Rice Alliance IT & Web 2.0 Venture Forum.
